It's a wonderful piece of cinema, comfortably low-brow and silly yet every bit as valuable as its wankier counterpart, the Before trilogy (yes, I admit that idea is planted by Smith, "retail's Linklater").
It's refreshing to see friends change, or not change, and explore their relationship across decades without forcing the point. And I bawled, proper ugly cried, and did not see that coming.

I watched CLERKS III this past week, and was left bawling. It’s a marvel to me that a tiny indie film released the year I graduated high school resulted in such a personal trilogy of films chronicling friendship, love, and the spiritual lethargy that often accompanies growing up. 1/🧵
