@Supermouse Sadly as the #ClimateCrisis continues to move into the #ClimateChaos phase with the atmosphere able to hold much more water this kind of thing will become more common with the jet stream becoming much more wobbly next year we may or may not be on the 40c side or if it happens during winter the -20C thing that happened in Texas a while ago could be -30C to -40C at our latitude & our infrastructure is not designed to handle that, & there are still many #ClimateDeniers 🤷‍♂️ #SoItGoes

What if the tree falls, & though nobody was there to see it [ergo, this was a totally silent event; 😜], it sadly fell onto a butterfly, which was so alarmed at its impending demise, flapped its wings so hard that it created a hurricane on the other side of the planet?

The hurricane was so severe, yet also so strategic, that it only took out all the #RWNJs, #Fascists, #Racists, #Misogynists, #Transphobes, #Homophobes, #ClimateDeniers, #Religions, #TelephoneSanitisers, #AdvertisingExecutives, & also #Gannets [coz they wet their nests].

What if #twatter et al existed back in 1912? What would the lunatic great-grandparents of these latterday loons have been doing? Feverishly twatting that #icebergs are #woke, hull-holes are nought but a scare campaign designed to control the masses, & #drowning is not even actually a thing? 🤷‍♀️

Would their insane twatting have altered tone & content as the seawater lapped at their ankles, then knees, then waists etc? Or maybe i'm missing the bigger picture, & in fact they'd have been twatting that there was no such thing at all as the #Illuminati-coined #BillGates-via-#TimeMachine-funded so-called fictitious alleged "RMS Titanic". 🙄

These morons are truly so mind-numbingly stupid that i fear the managing committee of #TheDarwinAwards will need to build many much larger community halls to accommodate them all, when the next Awards ceremony occurs. ...so as i was just now getting my dried clothes off the drying rack, & folding them up into my washing basket for putting away later, when i feel like it, coz i'm a lazy cow much of the time, & often need to be in the right mood for lots of my routine household running tasks, plus i confess that much of these words now are being inserted gratuitously just to pad out this into a candidate for the longest sentence of the year awards, which are usually held every leap year but next time will be in the tumbleweed year [little #linux #openSUSE joke there for any penguins who might stumble across this post then live to regret it til their dying days], this crazy thought somehow popped into my head; where are all the #RWNJs, the anti-#LGBTQI creeps, the #Tories, #GoP'ers, #Liebs & #Nuts, the #FlatEarthers & #ClimateDeniers, the #ReligoFascists here? Are they kept out simply due to the sane decent Instance moderation policies alone? Is it the absence of algorithmic rage-boosting that has dissuaded them? Is it a frank acceptance that on no moral, ethical or science basis can they substantiate their vile prejudices? Or, is it much more pragmatic, being simply that they don't have any spare time left atm coz they're so frantically busy picketing women's health facilities, burning books, & tying #transwomen to the railway tracks? 🤷‍♀️

I think it's actually more the other direction. We have #ClimateDeniers because the Koch brothers (and many others in power who benefit from #FossilFuels) profit off their beliefs.

The majority of climate deniers don't benefit from this system. While they swallow the ideologically salted #ClimateMisinformation, I find it increasingly hard to blame anyone other than the companies investing huge sums of money to produce the #disinformation.
