@rbreich it's the same in the UK. The current economic model and system of governance do not work. They do not complement one another, they do not benefit society at large and they are not sustainable.

The sooner we all become promoters of social justice and economic and political reform the quicker we fix inequality, climate failure and poverty around the globe.

It may sound simplistic, but literally one thing leads to another...

[Personal feelings disclaimer] The world is very much on fire, but a few trends in the last few months fill me with mental strength and courage. These include:
- Increasingly frequent conversations with colleagues about #degrowth that don't involve explaining *why* degrowth is good
- Increasing number of people recognizing #federated and #horizontal organizing can be great #SocialEcology
- Increasing number of scientists willing to risk arrest to call out #ClimateFailure. #activism

I am out doing outreach for XR in Boston (US) and I get a lot of people who consider our city "the good guys" because we have such a great climate plan. And they're all going to vote because that is "the answer". But what I see is that we're all (including me) in deep denial and failing to comprehend the magnitude of the situation.

Boston is failing on its commitments to an already inadequate plan.
