With the rise of #Climbing as a competition sport, broadcast crews around the world are struggling with how to cover it.
Sadly the #IFSC #ClimbingWorldCup in Seoul is a case study in how not to do it.
Cameras too far back, flattening the action, the only cameras that do give some sense of perspective are bolted to the wall the climbers are climbing on, making them so shaky as to be unusable, and vision mixing that seems to want to show us the athletes brushing holds or chalking up rather than the ones actually climbing, and constantly missing the top-outs.
