You’re looking at a hybrid Clivia x cyrtanthiflora.
This evergreen perennial is the result of crossing 2 species of #Clivia.
It has strap-like foliage to about 2 feet tall with clusters of orange flowers that dangle down on stalks that rise just above foliage.
I read with interest that flowering can occur nearly in any month of the year.

What a nice surprise! I picked up this clivia at the nursery a few days ago, when I went to get a big pot for the pothos. It had a tiny slender orange reed - the guy said would flower at some point, but I wasn’t expecting it so soon.
I’m told these are great plants for dark corners, so if you have some low light you may want to consider one. They’re quite nice. :)

Finally found an appropriate spot for my clivia to overwinter indoors. It’s high enough up that Jack Rabbit can’t reach it, and it has a prime spot in front of the living room window. (This plant is a beast.)
The agaves are also up front as well.
