It’s taken me less than a week to completely disrupt my sleep schedule. Oops! Trying not to stress about it. I’ll try to get back on track next week when I start job hunting.

I’ve just been staying up late, the last two nights, and I’ve found myself enjoying the process to much to want to go to bed! I haven’t felt this in so long and it’s and .

Next week one day, I may take myself on another wee field trip, to The Cloisters in Washington Heights. A breathtaking collection of medieval art and architecture. One of the galleries is the 12th century Spanish chapel, Fuentidueña. It had fallen into disrepair in Spain, so John D. Rockefeller spent 30 years negotiating to acquire it for the museum. He was finally successful, and had it dismantled, catalogued, and shipped it, piece by piece to NYC so it could be faithfully reconstructed in Washington Heights. It’s magnificent. The is another one of my favorite places to and it’s been ages since I’ve been there. That would be great!

Norwich Cathedral from the cloisters, and the labyrinth in the cloister garth. From one of the rooms above the cloister walks, a chorister was practising, and his beautiful voice rolled over us as we walked the labyrinth to the centre and back, a journey out of the present world and back again. A pilgrimage with a wonderful soundtrack!

An evening in Cloisters, Tollcross, Edinburgh. This opened when I had a student flat round the corner (our cat used to follow us into the pub!). Still a favourite.

to 2006 and the first month or so of my first DSLR camera, when any excuse to take it out somewhere new at the weekends was leapt upon at every opportunity. This is the at in , and if it looks familiar to you then you might have seen the movies where scenes were filmed.

This was with a EOS 350D. I've since moved through a 5D Mk II to the R6 I now use.
