For anyone else who is effing *struggling* to set up #closedCaptions on #Hulu: to adjust the font size you have to select the font field first, then the size options will appear.

I recommend turning on the captions and then waiting for a caption to appear before adjusting options, because your changes will update while the options pane is open and the UI is *not* intuitive.

C is for color of the caption text and opacity, S is for font shadow, B is for background color/opacity, and T is for transition animation.

Hulu: when you're setting up accessibility UI, a pro tip is to make it easy to use. Pls and thank you.

I am working on subtitles for a new video and my accent really messes with the auto generator. The best misunderstood word so far: Jankity (aka janky with some spice ✨ ) the cc generator thought I said "Giant Kitty" which really changes the meaning up immensely

New #Netflix feature that constantly moves around #subtitles on the screen (according to who's talking) is the worst thing I have ever seen.

I figure it might improve user experience for #deaf people, but it's so stressful for slower readers and foreign language speakers. Please make it opt-out.

So it's #NewPhone day in #HardOfHearing land over here. I upgraded to the #GalaxyS22 plus, and just learned it has the option to #caption phone calls.

Has anyone tried this? Does it even work? I imagine it's akin to YouTube auto generated #closedcaptions at best, which isn't much, but I'm still a little excited.

Also got it paired with my hearing aids, which I've never done solo before.

For reasons I still don't understand, Zoom doesn't always have closed captions available depending on who is hosting the Zoom call. On a work call today, I had to use my iPad to start a dummy meeting on my personal zoom account so the iPad mic could listen to the zoom meeting on my work computer's speakers and caption the audio that way.
