I sewed a few projects since I last posted but am particularly happy with Kalle Shirtdress (pattern by Closet Core). I’m @sewing work clothes for the cold months ahead so I lengthened this by 20cm. New things I learned with this project is #sewing a popover button placket and properly improvising inseam pockets. I was surprised the dress version of this does not have pockets (not counting the chest patch pocket).
I can’t think of a kind of garment right now that would not be better with pockets. Underwear? Swimwear? Dancewear? You can’t put pockets on a tutu, right?

I have finished the pants!
It took some patience, having to learn to sew a blind hem (by hand, because I also learned my machine is bad at them.)
It wasn't my intention to finish green pants right before Christmas. I got the pattern in January and the fabric during the summer. It's just how things turned out.
I'm so excited to wear the hell out of them.
I learned that I'm getting comfortable with sewing zippers and buttons and buttonholes. Welted pockets still intimidate me. I'm a lot steadier at stitching in the ditch than I used to be too. Also, I lined up the crotch seam perfectly!
I just wanna say thanks to #ClosetCorePatterns for having a contest in January, and luck for winning a free pattern because of it.
Pinning is one of my favorite sewing steps, it’s so weirdly satisfying ✨
