@forestine I liken #masking to being a #closeted #lgbtq person. It’s exhausting! What I’m trying to do now is share more and basically out myself. I’m used to this in other contexts, so it’s just a matter of finding ways to drop hints about my #autism and ways I process and communicate. I’m used to doing this with managers since it’s come up in performance reviews. But I’m working on broadening this now to others. This is also exhausting, but positive! 🤣 @actuallyautistic

As a bi/pan identifying cis man who is in a relationship with a cis woman, it is quite common for people to assume I'm straight. I don't always correct them because I feel my orientation is a bit personal and not always appropriate to bring up. At the same time I don't want to be #closeted anymore. How do others handle this? I am starting to realize that #comingout is not a one-time thing for me, but more a continual process.
