Hypothesis: GDPR cookie popups are a high-quality signal on how an organisation values you as a user.

There is absolutely no ambiguity on how they should be designed, EDPB and every national authority has said it must be as easy to accept as to deny the use of cookies for tracking.

Still, many organisations drag their feet and refuses to comply until the Data Privacy Authority (DPA) forces them.

My thesis is that this is a good signal on how the organisation values you as a customer, and customer-support etc. will be better at an organisation who comply.

There is of course one case where this will not be true, if the organisation has been forced by a DPA to fix their consent, e.g., Google, they might have a compliant popup but still provide shitty customer support.

Today's example is two cloud hosts from Europe, Scaleway and OVH.
