The article made it clear the archaeology community laughed her off. I read this as a teen before home internet, must've been a mag like Nature or Reader's Digest. I want to find her name & see if she ever got credit! Been bugging me off and on for years.

On ne sait pas grand chose de sa vie et quasiment tout ce qu'on croit savoir de lui a été imaginé par la suite (notamment par un drôle de type appelé Grégoire de Tours). On a longtemps enseigné des choses complètement fausses à son sujet, parfois même des choses surnaturelles. On a fait de lui un personnage mythique.
