[…] The disease may be the most painful condition known to medical science. […] #ClusterHeadache is probably the worst pain that humans experience. […] Women with cluster headache will tell you that an attack is worse than giving birth. So you can imagine that these people give birth without anesthetic once or twice a day, for six, eight, or ten weeks at a time. […] Their pain was so severe that several of them had to be constantly watched for fear of suicide. Most of them were willing to submit to any operation which might bring relief.”

@thequirkybraincoach Gonna need to stew on this! I'd come to believe we're motivated all the time, just not necessarily for what others find appropriate. For example, I'm motivated to fool myself into believing I can prevent a #ClusterHeadache by laying still rather than getting up, or watching one more episode vs reading that book, or going back inside to get that extra whatever than being on time. I'm not unmotivated. Just not motivated to do what others expect (or approve). #auADHD #unmasking
