In addition to sunrises and sunsets, I never tire of photos showing a sandy path to the beach. This particular path leads to the beach near New Jersey's Cape May lighthouse.

The path to the right leads to the beach near the World War II bunker. The path to the left leads to marshy trails around a small lake (or is it a pond?).

OK, we've probably spent enough time at the top of New Jersey's Cape May lighthouse. Let's take a final look before making the trek back down to ground level. We'll grab a look at the beacon on our way. Then we'll peek through one of the small round portholes near the top. And a final look up the stairs completes our journey downwards 😀

More photos from the top of New Jersey's Cape May lighthouse. Taken with a 300mm lens, these are not quite as scenic, but I still find them interesting. Looks like my wife's car is ready for a bath 😄

I love the in-body image stabilization in modern cameras. No way I could free-hand my big and beefy 300mm vintage lens without it!

A few photos from my December 2022 trip to the Jersey shore. Here's the Cape May lighthouse just before and just after sundown. I made my 3rd or 4th climb to the top of the lighthouse this year...seemed a little more taxing thank I recall 😜. I'll post a few pics from the top within the next couple of days.
