Dan Cohen asks: If we chunk content into its components for consumption by AI and then it is regurgitated to users, what is the purpose of writing a complete article? #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #CNI23f

We need infrastructure and tools around #ArticficialIntelligence and #MML systems, but they need to be developed in partnership with researchers and users that will apply them. No one will be better placed to provide input and thereby build trust in their use. #CNI23f

Fantastic conversation this morning led by Barbara Kline-Pope and Wendy Queen at JHU Press during breakfast roundtable this morning at #CNI23f conference. We were discussing MML/AI and its implications on scholarly publishing. There were great ideas about how to apply it, particularly in accessibility, translation, multi-modal (across media) translation, and the opportunity to reformat scholarship for the public. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence
