Continuing #CO2Monitor saga here. Turned off the pilot light for the ventless gas fireplace, and our usual 800-1000ppm readings first thing have dropped to 600s.

Workmen in the house, so trying to have 4-5 windows open. If I can live with temps in the 50's, sometimes I can get the level down to 450, which is outdoor ambient. Corsi box running too.

This morning, with 2 people in the house, and quite a warm start to the day (heat probably not running) the device registered 1378ppm.

I don't know how to improve the baseline #IAQ of our home. Open windows later will bring readings down.

We were away for 3 days, with the heat turned down to 60F, and returned to our #Aranet4 #CO2Monitor reading 919 ppm. I literally have no idea how to approach any #IAQ control if our baseline is this high.

We're going to have people working in the house soon, and while I have a #CorsiBox I doubt I'll get them to wear masks.

If we're prepared to freeze, 4 open windows drops the reading to 550... Wish there was more discussion around home IAQ from PH officials.

More #CO2Monitor data for anyone doing this at home/work.

Have found that to keep it at a reasonable level in our home (2 people) I have to have 3+ windows open. That will get the reading down to 600 or so.

Else, in the morning, the #Aranet4 reads over 1200, especially if it's warm enough the HVAC isn't running.

This is without the gas fireplace running. Using the gas stove/oven also makes things worse.

@DavidElfstrom Happy to have found your posts. We use a #CO2Monitor at home, and without any effort, and only 2 people in the house, we are regularly over 850ppm.

Could I ask if there are resources online for what one can do to improve that? Open windows, an ERV, all looked into. A better furnace is not in the books right now. Any direction very much appreciated. Thank you.
