For all of my hot tub planning and scheming...I forgot all about the summer thunderstorm season.

You know the one, it starts in May and runs until October...if we don't get any fall hurricanes (that's when the season for them peaks.)

It started at 3 today and ended after 11 pm. No hot tub for me tonight.

Lovely but cool walk on the cliffs tonight. I love listening to the waves crashing on the shingle in the dark. Senses are heightened then. Coming home, the neighbourhood foxes were loud and 'busy'. #CoastalLife

I’m still a puppy

Under leaden skies we trek,
Across the damp and windswept sand
Owner buries his face in the folds
Whilst old boy bounds,
Carefree and oblivious to the cold.
How is it that dogs don’t feel the biting wind, the bitter sea,
Nothing but the ball ahead?
Oh to be that alive, to gambol like a sprightly pup, the years roll back!

I’m back from the dog walk #mastodon friends. Well that was bracing! The wind coming off the sea froze my face in seconds (despite snood!) but it was invigorating and blew away any residual downbeat thoughts after reading that Clarkson bile. Back to chicken sitting at the beach on the Pacific. For those new to me, I had no affinity for chickens at all before I did this, and now I am absolutely smitten with them. I take a beer out to the garden for chicken happy hour and sit with them and chat. Or I put on Lizzo and dance with them. They love Lizzo as much as I do now. Expect some chicken content the next couple weeks! Haha.
