And here’s a great example of the kinds of cultural aspects that could get protection from the #Louisiana #CoastalMasterPlan. We’ve seen a lot of interest in the mounds in the norther part of the state, but these coastal mounds are also worth preserving and researching!

It seems this plan has a little something for everyone: additional levees/barriers, new sediment and fresh water diversion programs, and home elevation/buyout programs. While it’s unfortunate that some of these measures need to be taken, I’m hopeful that they may help us revitalize our #coast, our #environment and our cultural traditions! ...
