@NeadReport I cut the #coax to the TV's a little more than a year ago. Kept the Internet and landline phone services and haven't looked back.
Using the free streaming services for TV now, they have everything I watched on regular TV.
I prototyped some orange #coax using cable sleeve material over RG-58. I'm not super impressed by the color because the black is shining through. Have to check it out in the sunlight. I hope this helps making the coax more visible when operating /p. Can't wait for M&Ps colored coax line.

Saturday night, when I make a blog post about my struggles setting up Ethernet-over-Coax
This should not have been this hard, but I defeated the little black box!

I wish Messi & Paoloni came up with a RG316 replacement. Something just as or almost as flexible, but with way lower attenuation.

Weekend #coax mystery... Have figured out that the roll of RG-6 I have been using absolutely has a different sized outer layer than the crimping tools want. It's thinner than standard RG6/U. Anyone have any idea of what it is and what to look for in connectors? (it was a 1000 feet for free... 75 ohm, so great for dipoles, and very low loss). #hamradio

Hmm, I guess the short is not in my #coax, but in my #antenna. My 4:1 current balun (made out of spare PVC and random bits 'o wire) lasted 8 years, so I guess I should not complain. Will have to see what the failure mode was. Well, now I have two runs of coax to the push up pole, LOL. #hamradio

Drat. One of my #coax runs between my radio shack and antenna appears to have developed a short. Under (wet) mulch. It was fine through all the atmospheric rivers, but I wonder if it's finally had moisture seep into it. Hopefully it will recover if I unearth it from the mulch and let it dry. #hamradio

Some good things that happened today, and it's not even over:
- Learned how to test which coax drop inside my house connected to which beige cable on the side of my house.
- Found the cable pair I needed in one try.
- Learned how to use a coax crimper
- Wired the Eero extender farthest away from my fiber drop with MOCA -- triple the Wi-Fi speed in that room now.
MOCA is blowing the doors off the old powerline setup we had years ago.
