A few days tour -
Watched the #Currach club out on the #River Lee.
Watched the ships in #Cobh.
Spent a night at #Bunratty.
A night in #Shannon.
A night in #Abbeyfeale to do part of the #LimerickGreenway, going through arches & tunnels & looking at the countryside.
A day in #Kanturk watching a Heron (I think) fishing & to visit #McCarthysButchers for delicious meat.
An evening in Cobh again to watch the ships.

Doorways through a tunnel
I looked through a gate and saw a tunnel. Doors at the end were lit up in a courtyard. Barely noticed on the main street in Cobh.

Qween rocked Cobh on Sunday night, the last night of the Cobh People’s Regatta 2023. They’re an outstanding Queen tribute band, and they played all the hits, and soon had everyone singing along, dancing and cheering to the music. A short break in the middle of the set was required for the fireworks at 10pm, but the music started up shortly afterwards to the delight of everyone around.

My Da sent me a photo of #Cobh from the 1920s or 1930s. The house I grew up in, and where they still live today is on the right hand side of the short terrace at the top middle. The houses directly in front down the hill no longer exist. I think a landslide did for them in the 1960s or before.
