My favourite Finch the #Hawfinch. Too bad they're so shy. Most of the time they'll stay high up in the treetops, but they have to come down for a drink every now and then giving bird-paparazzi like me a chance to get a decent shot

For me, the most beautiful Finch in this part of Europe is the #Hawfinch. Fun fact to know... Do you see that oversized beak? They can put a pressure force of 50 Kilograms on that beak... so they crack a cherry pit without effort.

#Patience doesn’t come very natural to me... Still as a #birdphotographer you can’t do without it andvthat’s something they didn’t teach me at the photoacademy
So when I found this beautiful little part of the forest.. I knew I could make a perfect shot if only a bird would sit in the middle... It took me 6 hours of silent waiting 😂 flat on the ground. Tadaaaa
