@mikelech yeah me too. i will continue to put/migrate/start my personal projects either on #sourcehut or #codeberg
News from #Codeberg: September Edition! Recommendations for #Minigames included

@auscandoc @paulfoerster cool, thanks for the tipp. for the moment i go with https://codeberg.org/ @Codeberg witch fits my needs for a git repo hoster. but I've bookmarked your toot should i ever need a burner cell. credits to @truls46 for introducing me to #codeberg. this mastodon thing is really growing on me 👏
So who wants to help the @Codeberg folks implement code search?
https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues/904
#git #codeberg #search #scm #versionControl #foss #openSource #dev
#git #codeberg #search #scm #versioncontrol #foss #opensource #dev
What am I doing? Why, voting to help decide @Codeberg policy as a member.
(Wait a minute, you can’t do that on GitHub? How odd… sounds a bit autocratic to me…) ;)
Seriously, though, check out https://codeberg.org – they’re doing everything right.
There are alternatives and if we want them to survive, we must support them.

@jens #codeberg pages works, but it doesn't look good on the security headers side anymore:
https://securityheaders.com/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgentoo.duxsco.de%2F&hide=on&followRedirects=on
The headers I would like to get set:
https://codeberg.org/duxsco/gentoo-installation/src/branch/main/docs/_headers
The "_headers" file is supported by Cloudflare pages. I suppose it's still better to host on Codeberg pages without security headers than on Cloudflare pages with those.
#WoodpeckerCI is so cool. It took some finagling, but I've finally got it set up. I have it linked to my #Codeberg, with an arm64 and amd64 agent. The whole setup, including all agents, is running in podman containers (though pipeline steps still need to talk to Docker, because podman's docker socket support didn't work correctly.
I'm really happy about this. My first foray into self-hosted CI, and it's pretty great. It looks good and is pretty fast. Excited to start testing the limits.
I am thinking of leaving github entirely, mfa is too inconvenient when I go through so many mobile sims. There are better alternatives like codeberg anyway!
After you copied all your repos, gists and other content from GitHub to #codeberg, which of the following would you do?
Below options allow only a limited number of characters. Thus, "point" means "point to Codeberg".
The following lists only repo content as examples for shortness sake.

Having decided on the license, I've put the code up as it s now on #Codeberg
https://codeberg.org/Oblomov/machiavelli-fedi-bot
You can test it locally only so far, but it's a start.
The downside is that in the coming days I'll be slowly gearing up for work again, so I'll have less time to dedicate to it.
I am a bit confused by the licenses offered on https://codeberg.org/ during repo creation. GPL-3.0-only and GPL-3.0-or-later don't show any difference.
My very first 'release' in #codeberg.org after applying some fixes to #tumblesocks.el: https://codeberg.org/gargle/tumblesocks. #wahoo
