#AI coding assistant that's completely free for individuals and outperforms #Github #Copilot

After the big product launch this weekend for #VoteTrackr+ the pressure to crank out the code is off!
It's time to check out some other coding #AI assistants
I cancelled my #GitHub #Copilot subscription (for now, at least) and I'm going to try the free individual #codeium tool instead. https://codeium.com/

Codeium out here not pulling any punches 🤣

#codeium #copilot #github #gpl
#Codeium (#AI Copilot competitor) has removed GPL code from its training material to guarantee "peace of mind"
This so completely missing the point. We still need to know the !@#$! applicable licenses of the code it is emitting. Furthermore GPL people don't want they code to not be used. They want it to be used _within the terms of the license_. I distribute MIT and GPL code in my repos, BOTH should have their license terms honored.

A quick "huh, I should ask ChatGPT some questions about COBOL" ended with me learning some basic GnuCOBOL4.
Well that's enough internet for tonight.
After editing some COBOL in VS Code, it was very surprising that Codeium has experimental support for GnuCOBOL. Is there anything it *doesn't* do?
