Of late, #IT #coders have become increasingly vocal about #Haskell's impending demise, citing steep learning curve, deep theoretical abstractions, inability to support mobile and embedded development, and a host of other pedestrian complaints. This makes me chuckle.

Haskell was never designed to be used by the billions to do mundane CRUDing.

So, is Haskell dying, as these prognosticators proclaim? Well, it was never alive in their sector in the first place. And there are countless languages—indeed all new languages designed over the past 20 years—that these CRUDers could choose. They needn't tangle with Haskell.

#coders are a curious bunch...

Most love to #code and have great theoretical ideas, but never even attempt to follow through..

Many site concerns over #scaling and it paralyzes them which is funny...

Most coders never create a project for more than a handful of simultaneous usets yet are worried about "what if my #hobby projects grows worldwide?"

Sure if it's the next boom, but I've run sites w/1m+ hits daily fine off a 8gb #MySql DB and a small front end
