I try not to play favorites, but coffees from Huehuetenango in Guatemala always hit the center of the Venn diagram for what I love in washed Central American coffee.

Thank you to those who read and followed along as I went through the days in this advent calendar. It was fun to think about each cup of coffee I was drinking more than I normally would. This also gave me the opportunity to pull out some coffee gear I use less often.

Today is the 24th and final day of the Kaffebox #Coffee #Advent calendar. Today’s roast is Finca La Bonita from Jacu.

This bean has a scent of citrus and when ground comes through very strongly. There is plenty of flavor in the brew, adding the taste of molasses to the citrus. Very good for sipping and taking your time.

It’s the 23rd day of the #Coffee #Advent calendar. It’s Xmas day and I still have one more bean left for tomorrow! Today’s roast is El Durazno from Langøra Kaffe. The scent of this one is a bit sweet with chocolate but otherwise subtle. The brew is very easy to drink without being acidic or having strong flavors. I was done with it pretty quickly.

Gerade bei speziellen Sorten, die nicht permanent in der Rotation bei Euch sind?
Ich mag die Bohnen immer nicht wegwerfen, sie reichen aber auch nicht mal mehr für einen vernünftigen Shot.
Jetzt liegen hier schon 3 Packung mit jeweils 6-10g #Kaffee rum. 🙈

Today is day 21 of these #Coffee #Advent calendar. Today’s roast is Benjamin Paz from Fuglen coffee roasters. The scent of these beans was very subtle, almost ‘dry’ in the wine-sense. In the brew itself I get a bit of spice and nuttiness but that’s it. Good but nothing that really sticks out about it.

Day 20 of the #Coffee #Advent calendar. Switched back to the #MokaExpress to mix things up a bit.

Today’s roast is Sheka from Fuglen Coffee Roasters based in Oslo, Norway. The initial and ground scent was of berries, mostly Raspberry. The brew was also berry-rich but easy to drink. Despite it being a much stronger brew than my usual Aeropress, I found myself going through it quickly. No surprise to find out afterwards that it was honey-process.

Day 19 of the #Coffee #Advent calendar. Today’s was the most rushed one yet as I was getting ready to head to work. Today’s roast is Kenya Kii from Jacu, based in Ålesund Norway.

Scent was fruity. Brew tasted of citrus and was easy to drink (not strong acid).

Day 18 of the #Coffee #Advent calendar. Today’s roast is Los Mangos Organic from Lippe. Initial scent was sweet and a bit acidic. The resulting brew was fruity but easy to drink. I had the cup finished in no time at all and was ready to start my day.

One week’s worth remaining.
