Gross Sales was ~$59k; Costs of Goods Sold (Revenue Shares to #ZincCoop, Sub-Contractor payments to #Cohere) were ~$47k.

Of that $12k, I spent about ~$5k on professional services (like tax prep, book-keeping, legal). ~$2k was to rent-seeking SaaS (like Google Apps, Intuit Quickbooks,e tc), and about $1,800 was for utilities (like my tablet, phone and internet).

I also received ~$400 in income from my investments, but with the $1k loss the 'fund' part of ZTN is down -$600 in 2022.

Looks like #ZTN made $300 in 2022 (ZTN is the original S-Corp I had founded when I first started #Consulting, it's what I used to incubate and launch both #Cohere and #ZincCoop; as well as to make investments in #DriversCoop, #EBPREC, and other #BIPOC-owned businesses.

It serves as the entity-of-record for 2 of my longest-term software delivery clients (9? and 5 years, respectively!) and #MomentPark.

Most of its expenses are pass-through payments to #Cohere and #ZincCoop.

Apparently #Cohere turned 4 this January. 4 years of cooperating on consulting is a long ass time

@csddumi For #Cohere, we each choose on a quarter by quarter basis how much we are working; and get paid monthly from that.

We then "true up" at the quarter boundaries and issue bonuses from profits.

There are also non-product tech cooperatives, most of them are consulting or contracting cooperatives. They’re the easiest to get started, and I would check out #Agaric, #ChiCommons, #Cohere, #C4, and a whole lot more. There’s a list somewhere on GitHub with a bunch of tech coops as well

I have two main revenue streams for my personal income:

#Cohere, a 4 person consulting cooperative
#TransparentClassroom, a 10 person worker directed SaaS Coop

Cohere bills my time as an executive level engineering consultant. This generates significant cashflow ($150~$350/hr), but is 3~4 different clients per week, 3 days a week. Brain. Melt.

Transparent Classroom pays me ~$97/hr for two days a week.

This lets me manage my income to roughly mirror the median household income for #Oakland.

In 2019 I launched #ZincCoop, a Contributor and Maintainer owned #Cooperative. We acquired #MomentPark, and released it to the public domain; and are building #Convene, a federation-forward operating system for the Digital Solidarity Economy.

Feels like #Cohere is hitting even more of it's stride. We're almost to the point where our book-keeping and invoicing has been handed off completely to #KeyFiguresCoop!

We've been using Toggl to track hours, and then moving the hours to Quick Books Online to populate our Sales Receipts with a line item per Toggl Project.

Then we check the Retainer balance for the client and send an Invoice to refill it to it's minimum.

We _could_ automate it, and we may wind up doing so... but not just yet.

Oh god, #Cohere is growing up! We actually have a significant difference between our Cash-on-hand and total assets at a quarter boundary! (Our AR and AP is almost always $0, lol.)
