From Tarbes it was an hour's drive to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, where we hoped to begin our #Pyrenees exploration. We joined a long queue to buy (expensive) tickets up the gondola, but found the next available timeslot was hours away. Disappointed but €100 less poor, we instead dodged cyclists up & over the #ColduTourmalet, parked in Barèges ski area and hiked to Lac dets Coubous.
