He's also done a lot of TV and film scores; The Menu, 12 Years a Slave, and lots more.
His newest solo album, "When We Were What That Wept for the Sea" is a very uncommon application of just a saxophone. Highly repetitive and hypnotic, the has an expansive and spiritual sound to it akin to Sigur Ros.

He's only a recent discovery for me but I'm completely hooked on the music of #ColinStetson, a guy who sounds like he should be playing cliche country music and kinda looks it too in some photos, but who is actually this virtuoso #minimalist and #soundscape #jazz guy who does freaking circle breathing on a bass sax.
