@alex would suggest #nextcloud over syncthing, it's integration with apps like #collabora (think office365/google-docs but locally hosted), its photos app called memories which does a lot (timeline, suggestions, video transcoding and facial recognition) and lastly the pretty competent mobile app are all very handy to have.

Locally hosted #nextcloud with #collabora is decent for spreadhsheet work but no where as good as google sheets. Anyone know if #onlyoffice is any better ? #homelab #docker

#AusDerArbeit Wir bringen nächste Woche unser On-Premise #Owncloud Enterprise wieder auf den neusten Stand.
In dem Zuge wird auch #Collabora #COOL auf den neusten Stand gebracht - 23.05.
Persönlich habe ich etwas Bauchschmerzen mit Owncloud. Setzt noch auf PHP7.4, und haben keine Roadmap für 8.x.
Ist #Nextcloud der Weg zu einem zukunftsfähigen System?
Wir haben ca. 200 Concurrent User und ca. 4000 in Summe.
P. S. Hab' ich schon erwähnt, das ich neue Kollegen suche?

Ich nutze Nextcloud mit #Collabora. Früher mit #OnlyOffice, aber das wird leider nicht mehr gut gepflegt von #Nextcloud. Das ganze liegt auf einem privaten Server, aber man kann sowas glaube ich auch.mieten.

Kann da einzelne Dokumente zur gemeinsamen Bearbeitung freigegeben oder bei größeren Projekten auch Logins für Gruppen vergeben.

Habe #nextcloud auch auf dem #Android um mobil Sachen zu checken/ändern.

Ich kann gerne mal ein Dokument mit @aufsmaulsuppe zum Test teilen.

@hmiron @fennix the #lackrack looks cool... but did I read correctly that you wood screw the racks directly into the table legs? Why not wood screw a bracket so you can get the modularity of a real rack?

Personally I've got a #k3s cluster at home with various media managers, #plex, #nextcloud, #photoprism, #collabora , and #duplicacy to back up my 16TB. Tons of fun.

Jetzt können die Lernenden von allen erdenklichen Geräten - bei uns überwiegend eigene Smartphones - und von überall auf Dokumente im Schulnetz zugreifen und ohne zu installierende Software bearbeiten. Konnte heute drei Tasks von meiner ToDo-Liste abarbeiten, vor denen ich ziemlichen Respekt hatte:

- [x] Nextcloud Office (Collabora) auf eigenem Server installieren
- [x] Nginx Proxy Manager installieren und Reverse Proxy einrichten
- [x] App in der Nextcloud installieren und konfigurieren

Hat schon etwas gedauert. Bin leider kein Server-Profi. Freue mich aber am Ende riesig, dass ich jetzt ein eigenes funktionierendes Cloud-Office habe.
