Well, my toot rate was basically nonexistent for #SSI #CollabW23 , but with good reason that it was so engaging and I hardly checked my phone. Perhaps I'll make a proper recap at some point, but I want to make one call out: I'm super proud of my #HackDay team that took the concept of #RSEng Skill Development Pathways and produced a proof of concept for what that resource might look like. Took a break from #CollabW23 this morning but I'm back in time to read the outputs from the Collaborative Ideas Session and put my votes in. Thankfully we just have to pick our top 3 and don't have to give a ranking - that would have been tough!

Slightly embarrassed to report that it took the #CollabW23 drinks reception in a fossil gallery for me to learn what a mastodon is... 😳

Enjoyed the #CollabW23 Discussion session, where our small group joined up with a couple of others (in-person and online) focusing on topics related to community and collaboration.

In this speed-blogging session, we drafted a post on building healthy communities: hope to share later when it is tidied up and published!

You know you're at #CollabW23 when Google tells you there might be issues with the doc "due to heavy collaborator use of this document." and the internet in the location obviously struggling with so many devices being connected.

Day 1 of #CollabW23 by the #SSI is now kicking off! Loving the small tech area stickers for the name badges 😁 Looking forward to three days of intense but super fun discussions and activities around #ResearchSoftware and #RSEng

For those that don’t know the Software Sustainability Institute's Collaborations Workshop, this annual conference was where the role “Research Software Engineer” was first developed.
