A sustainable Mars colony could be established with as few as 30 settlers, according to a new computer simulation. The simulation also found that people with cooperative and agreeable personalities were more likely to survive and thrive on the Red Planet. The study suggests that psychological factors are as important as technological and engineering challenges for colonizing Mars.

A part ça, tout s'accélère et pas en bien. Un arc laisse sa place à un autre ; tous bâclés. Et puis se borner à mettre en avant l'humain en parlant d'une invasion alien (ce qui aurait pu être très cool), pour finalement saborder ce côté-là assez salement et teaser des trucs pas fous en provenance d'ailleurs... bof.

Mais bon, ça se laisse regarder pendant un mois d'août.

La seconde saison de la #SérieTV #Colony est passée beaucoup plus vite du fait qu'il y a plus d'action. Mais c'est aussi dû à une certaine convergence des points de vue qui faisaient jusqu'alors mine de regarder dans d'autres directions, même celles qui n'étaient pas les plus passionnantes.

Ça reste intéressant d'avoir une #série avec des aliens qui restent en tâche de fond, mais ça commence aussi à poser problème quand ça tourne vachement autour et sans vouloir s'en approcher... 🤷‍♂️

Il y a un truc qui est toujours cool et qui est assez souvent fait depuis quelques années dans les #séries : c'est le plan séquence (ou la tentative de quelque chose qui s'en approche).

Je me demandais justement si j'allais y avoir droit dans #Colony et... Eh bien c'est arrivé au moment le plus surprenant. Et ça a donc fait son petit effet.

Bref, j'ai un peu sombré dans cette #série qui pourrait être top mais qui se contente de faire juste un peu plus que le taf.

Bon d'accord, après une fin de saison qui s'est un peu réchauffée en promettant de rebattre les cartes, le premier épisode de la seconde saison de la #série #Colony a déjà plus retenu mon attention.

Il y a quelque chose de l'ordre de la fascination (morbide) à voir se dérouler sous nos yeux la chute d'une société. Et là ça fonctionne d'autant mieux qu'on a déjà pu voir l'après.

Est-ce que ça va continuer comme ça ? To be continued... 🤷‍♂️

J'ai retenté #Snowpiercer : après quelques épisodes et une lancée pourtant bien engagée, j'ai finalement glissé sur #Colony avec Josh Holloway et Sarah Wayne Callies... 😅
Je me dis que ça pourrait être pas mal mais ça reste plutôt tiède et... j'ai l'air d'accrocher malgré tout 🤷‍♂️
