Oh what a queer year it has been...
Most of our garden plants haven't known what time of year it actually is most of the time.

Lots of the around us have been dropping their green leaves this week due to heat shock and a lack of moisture.

We have early in quite a few of our this year too.

This is a lovely one called Matzu Kagami and is always a reliable in a cascading form.

It won't be long now before they show their here.

For Day 7: indigo a little story of analogy & bias in the most famous physicist of all. My lino block print is inspired by the earliest colour wheel, made by Isaac Newton. When he first split white light in 1665 into the rainbow spectrum of colours, he named & described what he saw as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet (often denoted ROY G BIV).

I really don't like reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete, I much prefer good, old-fashioned brick.

You know where you are with a brick; they can last for millenia, they are easily repaired, they look good, they have character, and they are very sustainable.

You have to up to speed with the latest UK Goverment scandal to know what I'm talking about here, but you can still enjoy this crumbly old brickwork...

I’m late to this (he started in 2020), but if you’re on Insta at all, check out David Bieloh’s “United Colors of the Apocalypse,” from Asthmagenta to Butterscorch Orange, and beyond. I definitely needed these color swatches when the smoke from the Quebec wildfires came through here not long ago.

Happy Monday.

The weather is absolutely glorious here in the valleys.

I'm hoping for some decent on our Acers and Rowan's this autumn.

All these years later, I still feel the thrills of preparing to go back to uni at this time of the year.

A lovely feeling I will always treasure.

Some late flowering sanguisorbas are providing nourishment for the bees and everything is good in the world...for now.

Hello people - I need a bit of help.

Does anyone know how to set up a palette in PPT that has a larger number of colours than the standard 8-10? Basically I need a colour set of about 28 colours but seem only able to create I think 10 in the normal palette?
