In Belgium all supermarkets from the #colruyt group don't accept credit cards (and hence no Google pay), but only debit cards. Same for smaller shops where you usually do small payments (bakeries, butchers). They only accept debit cards because it's less expensive for them than credit cards.

So #Belfius now supports Google Pay/Google Wallet and has removed #NFC support from its own app. I guess this means that we cannot do #contactless payments in shops which only support #Bancontact and don't support credit cards (I think this is the case in #Colruyt and probably also your local bakery), which used to be possible with the Belfius app. #googlepay #googlewallet #contactlesspayment
