Follow the Fall 2023 Return of Comet 103P Hartley
While we're waiting for that next dramatic long-period comet to grace our skies, a few familiar friends are showing up occasionally - if you have a telescope and know where to look. One of these periodic cosmic interlopers is Comet 103P Hartley, first discovered in 1986 and made a relatively close pass to Earth every 13 years. It should reach its next brightest point in October 2023.
