So we can just expect for gas prices to rise from Spring to end of Summer because more people are choosing to drive more for their vacation. In a few years time, I'm really hoping to finish paying off this machine and sell it and just get a #Communauto membership and ride the bus like everyone else. Enough of this insanity.

For some reason, I just discovered that we had #Communauto in #Sherbrooke and didn’t know it was here 🤦‍♀️ But I’m glad to know it’s there because once I figure how to get rid of my car, opting for a bus pass + #carsharing will be ideal!

@Nosila Amazing! We struggled to ditch the one car when the kids were younger because they both played sports that meant travelling in different directions. #Communauto was a solution then. Gamechanger was when we discovered that N licence holders could register for #CarShare so both kids now use it on occasion. It takes effort & a shift in mindset but we'll never go back to the #CarCult

@IPEdmonton Yes, it is easier in some parts of the city than others. Very easy where we live in the West End. We joined #Communauto as soon as we moved here & ditched one of the 2 cars we'd needed in the suburbs. Everything we need is close by - a bus route to work at the end of our street & at least 3 #CarShare options within a 5 min walk. Cycling infrastructure still sucks in #ZeroVisionHFX but it is slowly being built (although well behind schedule).

It's now 3 months since we went #CarFree as a family.

TL;DR - we're wealthier and healthier!

#Wealth: Using #Communauto #CarShare is $150/month cheaper than having our own car parked on the drive. That's a projected saving of $3k a year while still accessing a car when we need.

#Health: I use my fabulous @ternbicycles P9 for groceries & #ShopLocal more. #Cycling & #Walking more means more #PhysicalActivity. Bonus: that also makes me happier! #ClimateAction
