When I was a teenager my hometown #CommunityEducation offered a class in making #UkrainianEggs. Since the eggs stay intact, the first step is to inspect them with a flashlight to make sure there are no hairline cracks. Eventually, the inside dries out. The design is drawn with wax, which blocks the dye. The dyes are applied from lightest to darkest, ending with black. When you melt off the wax, all of the colors pop out! I have no pictures. My eggs lasted for years, but are no more.

Taking another #CommunityEducation class tonight: intro to watercolors. I've always wanted to learn this contemplative artform, and one slot opened for the class last night.

Currently using #AIart to design character studies in watercolor, for inspiration. There are all sorts of things I want to attempt.

I love running a #CookingClass , but I also love the calm just before they start.
