I do mutual aid work with food serves and drop-ins in Toronto. We use a car for this, it's way too much to move by bike.

The car was making an odd sound, so my partner took it in to be checked out. Turns out it needs a new wheel bearing and sway bars. This is going to run about $3000. Argh.

I guess it's time for another fundraiser. We use the car to move donated and salvaged food to people who need it, it probably takes about two weeks to move $3000 worth of food, so your donations have a very large multiplier effect.

On Wednesdays we offer a Women's Outdoor Cooking Club followed by a community lunch at 2pm at Granton Community Garden. We also offer a food sharing table along with the meal. The volunteer gardeners also meet at 1pm for gardening club so it ends up being our busiest day in the area (and my favourite).
