Who has experience with #CommunitySolar in #Oregon? It sounds like there has to be some catch but supposedly you're covered by law, that the fund manager will make sure you adjust the subscription so you don't get a bill for #solar power you didn't use at the end of the year. That's hard to believe, given that our #netMetering rules restrict how much you can sell to the grid. (if they really did so well, maybe we need the same lawmakers to revisit net metering and get rental houses in there)

I'm curious if any other #MNastodon Minnesota folks 'round these parts use a #CommunitySolar subscription, and if so, who their provider is. I'm interested in maybe switching from Xcel's Windsource subscription but still figuring out the landscape. Main factors personally are not getting locked into a 20+ year contract, minimal upfront cost, and at least some degree of cost savings vs Windsource. Something run locally in-state is ideal. I'm on the wait list for Xcel's own RenewableConnect program, but these are the other providers I've found so far that seem to operate in MN.
