@the_wanlorn I tried birth control for a year, then my cervix rejected an IUD, then I asked nicely for a hysterectomy. Mid 40s.

I explained:

1. I was missing work at least once/month due to it. I want to work full-time, but these issues are #disabling due to #PelvicPain

2. #Comorbidities with other #disabilities was making it even more difficult to function #ChronicFatigue #Fibromyalgia

3. I've identified as #GenderQueer for over 20 yrs & usually only experience #dysphoria during periods

@zebepsmd people with #chronic #conditions often take 5+ #medications; not just older adults. As bodies age, #comorbidities increase, necessitating additional #treatment. I see this being used to justify #patient #abandonment. We've seen this happen in the #ChronicPain community, in the #MentalHealth community.

I'm doing some driving for MCFD this week. I feel better when I'm productive, but I'm no longer capable of being productive for other people if I can't be in control.

My last nervous breakdown/mental collapse has long ebbed, but it left me in a more fragile state that's likely permanent (my psychiatrist's opinion).

It's odd, to be aware of these kinds of changes. I feel a little diminished sometimes.

Hoping to get some #diagnostics done to clarify possible new #comorbidities; being able to do #PT again. Also looking to do #therapy to address the overactive #flight #fright #freeze reactions and #autistic symptoms. #PwME generally have one or more #Comorbidities: I personally have six of the ones listed at the bottom of the diagram (far too complex to write a summary thereof). I have #SevereME, a loss of the vast majority of pre-illness function. #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis kills those with #VerySevereME and I dread the ineluctable slide into said category…
