Found in a thrift store: broken MFSL version of “A Very Special Christmas”. In un-broken condition, this CD would be worth $35US. Some folks spend as much as $20US for used Lift-Loc cases on eBay. #cd #compactdisc #mfsl

A goofy trend 30 years ago was to take a special paint pen and color the outside edge of your CD’s to make them “sound better”. It was nothing more than a snake oil salesman pitch to get you to waste your money. In this Telemann collection I picked up at a thrift store today, someone accidentally colored outside the lines. #Cd #compactdisc #Telemann

Tonight’s job is picking up what I want to do with the handmade (by my very talented wife) book for a future release.
Likely to do 10, sold through https://gribbles.bandcamp.com as were my other limited, hand-made releases.
Probably going to tie this into a bit of a retrospective release picked from across the last 4 years and over 100 tracks (if you include quiddity!)

Today’s listening is ‘Me And The Ghost Of Charlemagne’, the 2019 album by Amy Speace.
This is a gentle album of country flavoured American folk music, mostly comprising a spare musical accompaniment to Amy’s lovely singing voice.
My favourite tracks are probably the title track itself, ‘Pretty Girls’ and ‘Back In Abilene’.
A nice, thoughtful and relaxing listen.

Today’s listening is ‘C’mon C’mon’, the 2002 album by Sheryl Crow.
For me, this is pretty much Ms Crow at her peak.
Some great tracks here, including ‘Steve McQueen’, ‘Soak Up The Sun’ and the title track itself.
There were several special guest vocalists on this album, including Stevie Nicks, Don Henley, Emmylou Harris and, er, Gwyneth Paltrow (??!).
Sadly, like most of la Crow’s output, this album remains not available on vinyl.
