This is incorrect. People absolutely can, and do, still get #news from #Canadian sources online. Go to their #websites and check yourself; still there! Fully available.
You won't find #links from Facebook, but that's entirely different. We passed #C18, a "link tax", and they don't get enough #value from linking to be worth paying it.
#Blame #politicians, not the #companies, if you don't like that.

Well. I don't subscribe to the all #companies are the same position, but they're clearly effected by similar structural pressures.
However, for #greedflation to be a thing, it does not require *all* companies to be acting in that way only some at crucial choke points in the #supplychain....
I have thought a lot about the differentiated environment of corporations. If you're interested (& I accept you may not be) I wrote a research guide for Edward Elgar a couple of years ago

I do use Canada Post a lot - but their expected delivery dates, at least here, tend to be #fantasy, or at least some kind of #fiction.
I've had other #courier #companies #lie and show "delivery attempted" when I am absolutely certain that did not occur. In fact, I had a large, recurring problem with Canada Post doing that for a while.

But as I've gotten older it's become obvious that they are just dumb, bumbling monsters that have (through luck) gotten big enough that all their stupid mistakes aren't enough to bring them down.
