Yes I hear that! I'm wrestling with a fun combo of trauma related repeating crises. Here, there are very few medical/ psych professionals, so the discernment/ diagnosis/ treatment is almost impossible. My favorite though, is the internalized voices shaming me for feelings etc, or often denying that my lived experiences even happened! 🤣

Because yes there's a dog bed on the human bed and yes, one of the cats has stolen it.
Today is EMDR treatment day. I'll be laying low with some easy knitting. And as much as it'll be hard fucking work, I'm so very grateful for everyone who donated so I could access treatment. Slowly but surely my mental health is improving.

336 followers · 2730 posts · Server social.coop@nmashton Well, with the caveat that I barely know what I'm talking about since I haven't done enough reading yet, my understanding of other stress disorders (particularly #complexPTSD / #CPTSD) is that a little stress can go a long way toward causing symptoms disproportionately much more severe than one might expect from the stressor. The article suggested that bipolar shares a similar stress hypersensitivity feature until it's been in remission a while.
