Writing a #LetterToEditor to "kindly ask" them to consider your science paper for publication in their journal is an hilarious task.
You need to balance #Completeness, #Conciseness #Politeness and #Arse-Licking by trying to convince them that your work is going to revolutionize Science. Every time. Big #Lol.
All of the above, preferably in just one single page, even if I always manage to exceed these limits and need two lines on the following page. #sigh

Pareidolia is the tendency in humans and other animals to see faces in simple shapes and eyespots.
Is there a word for pareidolia but for #conciseness? This could be covered by "anthropomorphize" but that is about seeing *human* traits in things that aren't human. Conciseness might not be an exclusively human trait.
In the fall a tree has one remaining leaf. The wind blows but the leaf remains. A child might say "The leaf is scared to go."
I've noticed a difference between my clear and concisely articulated thoughts when speaking versus writing. When I speak, my words tend to come out jumbled and I have to pause to organize my thoughts. But when I write, I can take my time and carefully craft my words to convey exactly what I mean. #autism #communication #spokenlanguage #writtenlanguage #thoughts #clarity #conciseness
