Does anyone know how to do #ConditionalFormatting in #Excel?

What I'm trying to do is type a single letter into a cell and have it change the cell's color and text.

Example: I want to be able to type "j" into the cell and have it make the cell green and display the name "John".

Is that a thing?
Please tell me that's a thing.
