These huge rolling cameras record everything, block buses & traffic, run over dogs, and should never have been approved to be on our streets.

I assume it does (otherwise why do it) but the article doesn't say if it works or not.
FWIW, I don't "hate" car but I "hate" AVs and don't think they have any business on The City's streets.

There’s a Monkey Puzzle Tree on one of my walking routes. I’ve been hoping for a cone to drop on the pavement below it for a while now.
Today was the day!
Going to see if I can grow my own now. Not that I’ll ever see them in their full glory if I’m successful, but I’ve been a fan of them since I was a kid and I simply have to try.
You half expect to see a dinosaur nearby whenever you see them. 🐊 😀

Check out these cute little round green cones I saw I saw yesterday a massive pine / kauri like tree, with small short-leafed orange foliage.
This tree looked a lot like the ones in the middle of a lake in the Chc Botanic Gardens.

Built a little visualizer to convince myself I'm calculating intersections between lines and cones correctly.... This gif shows the case where the solution includes a real intersection and an intersection with the "ghost cone". In the gif, the pink is the real cone, the blue line is the ray, black dots are the solutions.
