Two really wonderful films from 2022 #GlassOnion and #ConfessFletch. Both deserved far greater cinema releases. And both are just an absolute delight to watch.

Confess, Fletch (2022): This one was a lot of fun. Loved the style of humor and Jon Hamm does a great version of the character. Love the supporting cast and the overall vibe. It's really too bad that this failed to take off, because I think it would have been great to see a follow-up to this. #fletch #confessfletch

#ConfessFletch (2022) … Few guffaws, but simmeringely funny easy watching throughout. Jon Hamm is funnier than I had expected, with delicate comedic timing, and when his old boss at the newspaper is played by John Slattery it’s cute. The script is clever and silly and highly enjoyable.

I think this is something as rare as a new comedy that holds up for multiple viewings.

Additionally, do yourself a favor and watch what is probably the most underrated movie of 2022: Greg Mottola's excellent adaptation of CONFESS, FLETCH. Truer to Mcdonald's books than the Chevy Chase movies and perhaps Jon Hamm's best lead performance. I liked it a lot more than GLASS ONION, which is saying something.

Finally watching "Confess, Fletch" this weekend, and I'm struck once again by the fact that Jon Hamm gone a little to seed looks exactly like that good-looking middle-aged suburban dad you know who always inspires you to say to your friend, "If he lost twenty pounds and shaved more often, he'd look just like Jon Hamm!"

I’m on a plane and just discovered that Jon Hamm is in the movie Confess, Fletch. I am SO EXCITED about this. I’ve read every book that Gregory McDonald has written about Fletch and Flynn and I love them — and I also feel that Jon Hamm is more aligned with the character than Chevy Chase (although neither is quite right tbh). Watched #ConfessFletch starring Jon Hamm last night and really enjoyed it. Was an avid fan of the books years back and always thought the Chevy Chase casting portrayed him more as a dumbass than the smartass he is in the books, Hamm gets it right. Would love to see more of these.

#ConfessFletch framed for murder, trying to find stolen masterpiece. Collection of oddballs. Still feels like old Fletch but less comedic goofing. Not doing the master of disguise thing. Decent crime mystery. Wonder if reviewers stuck on old Chevy Fletch. More like books? 🖼 ⛵️
