It's compatible, modular and full of very useful features!
On my previous installations I'd use third-parties for certain tasks, such as #LatteDock and #Conky. This time though, on my #FedoraKinoite installation, I went with the built-ins and I can proudly say they are awesome! You can do anything you want, Plasma is packed with countless features.

My turn to #ShareYourDesktop.
Love window grouping; it is super helpful. So is shading windows. (Both shown here.)
Use #conky and some #XFCE4 and #KDE apps, but mostly #Mozilla #Firefox and #emacs.
Use 8 desktops, all with a few programs open at all times. Each has its own theme / purpose - email, browsing, content creation, etc.
Wallpaper is #Kenrokuen in #Kanazawa, #Ishikawa, Japan. I don't remember if this is a pic that I took or not.

I used to love #conky, but it has some quirks when switching workspaces in GNOME. Also wanted to use #EWW, but it crashes because it depends on a #wayland function that GNOME apparently lacks. So I'm kind of stuck.
I almost wonder how feasible it would be to load a web renderer as the root window's background, and just write my own system monitor with #javascript and scss.

In some other recent post [geez i wish i could *efficiently* search posts] i had incorrectly blamed #Plasma 5.27.1 for the Conky breakage. Silly me for falling into the old trap of defying the scientific principle [change only one variable at once] 🤦♀️
