I've drifted back to classic #Russian literature after a #reading sojourn with #Hesse and John Fothergill.

Under Western Eyes by Joseph #Conrad was a lesser known work but was widely considered to be one of his best.

It actually functions as one of the earliest spy thrillers and centers on a young man who is sent from Russia to Switzerland in 1910 under threat of imprisonment to thwart revolutionaries there.

Razumov - the protagonist - has a crisis of conscience along the way and of course...stuff happens (no spoilers).

I'm enjoying this so far. For some reason, I'm a little hooked on Russian literature. Maybe I'm addicted to heavy, philosophical fare.

...manchmal kann man man zwei fliegen mit einer Klappe schlagen, weil ein übrig gebliebenes anderes Netzteil passt.

Ansonsten gibts bei verschiedenen Anbietern (#Conrad, #ELV, #Pollin, etc.) eine breite Auswahl effizienter Netzteile mit verschiedenen Steckern. Häufig gibts da was 100% passendes fix und fertig.

Von der Bestellung von Billignetzteilen direkt aus China rate ich generell ab, die sind oft mangelhaft und teilweise sogar gefährlich --> Verschlimmbesserungspotential.

Elektro ist für mich generell ein schwieriges Thema wenn es darum geht nachhaltiger zu agieren.

Alleine wenn ich daran denke wie lange ich nach einer guten und schönen Deckenlampe fürs Esszimmer gesucht habe wo man die Birne auswechseln kann wird mir schlecht. So etwas gibt es so gut wie gar nicht mehr. 99% von den Deckenlampen kann man komplett wegwerfen wenn die Leuchtdiode kaputt geht.

Es ist unglaublich wie viele LED Lichter bei uns in letzter Zeit kaputt gingen. Vor allem die Spots in der Küche. Letzte Woche ging eine 0815 Deckenlampe vom Spielzimmer kaputt, nach ca. 4 Jahren (siehe Bild).

Das soll Umweltfreundlicher sein als früher die alten Lampen mit den Birnen? Weniger Strom verbrauchen die Haushalte auch nicht als früher?!

Aber zurück zum Thema. Ich denke das eine Plattform wie #Conrad besser ist als #Amazon. Aber sehr vieles kaufen wir im Geschäft. Auch Kleinteile. Hat schon große Vorteile wenn wir mit den Elektrikern gute Beziehungen pflegen.

Wenn der Hut brennt werden Stammkunde bevorzugt. In Zeiten wie diesen wo der Fachkräftemangel bei handwerklichen Jobs immer schlimmer wird muss man sich da einen Vorteil verschaffen.

And how do we compare fiction with biography, historical works, poets or eastern wonders. At best, you take a snapshot, reflect the tastes of the moment; then instantly regret your choices, experience guilt over the treasures omitted.
