We’ve added a third local #hospital to our weekly #coffee drop and this year hope to #donate three quarters of a tonne to them because hospitals aren't just for pandemics.

This is in addition to the 1% of sales donated to #WomensAid and 1% given to projects at coffee origins.

@nielspflaeging I see now that you're saying #BCorp and #ConsciousCapitalism are still command-and-control style imposed upon the employees, which isn't the best organization system. To be more #agile, you want decisions happening at all levels, not bottlenecked at the top of the organization. But I worry that if you say "people will find their implementations", then there will be 925 different and overlapping methods employees invented for themselves, duplication/wasted effort across the org.

Better future, I think, will take: Abundance-based #money system, #ConsciousCapitalism required by all businesses, everyone focuses on win-win activities and rejection of win/lose activities (war, stealing, hoarding wealth and other resources), make sure ALL beneficial work is rewarded without first requiring a "job" to do it, #EquitableDistribution of all resources needed to all living beings on Earth. Picked up trash today? You get money for that, effectively from nature.

This is the kind of thing I like most about our business model and what I mean by ‘conscious capitalism’.

Photos are from a co-op we buy from in Colombia. First picture shows how kids were getting to school (crossing a river by tree trunk). Second shows the bridge we funded. We subsequently funded another footbridge and hope to fund a third project this year.

If we can do stuff like this with 5 full time staff then imagine what a big corporation could achieve. #coffee #consciouscapitalism
