The Lost Art of Scripture - Karen Armstrong. need i say more? maybe about how we got so literal about faith? hopefully didn't bite off more than I can chew. I'm constantly wondering about my growing up in #conservativechristianity and what pushed me out and keeps others in. She and #Ehrman have really helped a lot.

Christianity is a religion focused on the person and work of Jesus Christ as defined by the Christian Bible. #Christiannationalism, on the other hand, is a political ideology that fuses “#Americanness” with a national identity of #conservativeChristianity. In this version of a Christian nation, civil life would be defined by religious positions on worship and the family and supported by the display of religious symbols in public places.
