It's good to see Labour are committed to HOL reform but the idea that the elected second chamber could be made up of only 200 members seems a bit fanciful: how would such a chamber operate in an efficient way, carrying out the same jobs as the current HOL does?
Also, PR reform should happen at the same time as HOL reform. Let's bring British democracy into the 21st century.

Gordon Brown knows his stuff & Labour would be wise to adopt his recommendations for constitutional reform swiftly.
For decades we have heard talk of House of Lords reform/abolition. It's time for Labour to walk the walk & include a firm commitment to abolishing the HOL as currently constituted in the next manifesto.
